| An historic "Towns" flood boat (circa 1918). Restored by Alkira Boatshed for an owner who wanted this vessel for his "children's children". This 20ft clinker launch is powered by a 2 stroke Turner engine but they were originally rowed and used in commerce, rescues and regattas. Another famous type of vessel built by these men used to be called a butcher's boat because one of its functions was to go to the ship's moored off shore to collect and deliver produce, mail and other essentials for the crew. Launched 2004. |
