This 24ft carvel steamboat was designed by the late Peter Giles.

The stern was remodeled by Alkira Boatshed.

The vessel was fitted out as an open day boat with teak slatted seats, laid beech decks and a timber canopy. Powered by her steam engine she glides through the waters of Lake Macquarie.

"EIRENE" was launched by Alkira Boatshed in 1999.
